About Josh
Seven years behind the chair
Precision is part of the training.
Josh trained at St. Charles Barber College and has spent roughly seven years cutting professionally, about four years at The Shop Barber & Bar and three at Avila Styles. Fades, tapers, clipper and scissor work, beard grooming, straight-razor detailing.
Before barbering, he served in the U.S. Air Force working in Aircrew Flight Equipment, where attention to detail, equipment care, safety and consistency were non-negotiable. That habit didn't go anywhere; it just moved to the chair.
